We’ve seen it all, from parties that go down in history as the greatest nights ever, to we’ve seen parties that, well, let’s just say they were “learning experiences.” Trust us, you don’t want to make these rookie mistakes when booking strippers.
Mistake #1: Being Vague About the Location
“Somewhere near downtown” doesn’t help us. “The house with the red door” isn’t an address. One of the most common issues is the stripper getting lost because the host provided terrible directions.
We need a hard address. If you’re in a new development that isn’t on Google Maps yet, drop a pin and send it to us. If your apartment complex is a maze, meet the stripper at the leasing office. If the talent is driving around in circles for 20 minutes, they arrive stressed and late, and that eats into your party time.
Mistake #2: The Cashless Catastrophe
This is the big one. We live in a digital world, but the stripper industry still runs largely on cash. Even if you prepaid the agency fee via credit card, tipping is a huge part of the culture (and the fun!).
There is nothing more awkward than a dancer finishing an amazing set, and the room goes silent because nobody has cash. Make sure your guests know to bring cash. Better yet, do a bank run beforehand and have a stack of bills available to exchange with your guests via Venmo.
Mistake #3: Ignoring Boundaries and Consent
Sometimes, a host thinks it would be funny to “surprise” someone who really, really doesn’t want a stripper. Maybe it’s a super conservative uncle, or maybe a shy friend who is clearly uncomfortable. Read the room. If the guest of honor is hiding in the bathroom, the joke isn’t funny anymore.
Also, ignoring the “No Touching” rule is the fastest way to have the stripper walk out. Alcohol makes people forget boundaries, but as the host, it’s your job to remind them. Don’t let your drunk friend be the reason the party ends early.
Mistake #4: Poor Environment Control
Lighting is important, but temperature control is even more so. If your house is freezing cold, the stripper (who is wearing significantly less than you) is going to be miserable. Bump up the thermostat a few degrees before they arrive. Conversely, if it’s a crowded room in July, turn on the AC.
